Who We Are
NeighborWorks Laredo, Inc. is a nonprofit organization with the purpose of strengthening and revitalizing Laredo’s neighborhoods and community. The organization’s primary goal is to stimulate the economy by stabilizing the housing market through home buying assistance and through the rehabilitation of older homes. This process of neighborhood revitalization is made possible through the partnerships formed between NeighborWorks Laredo and the residents, business leaders, lending corporations and municipal institutions of Laredo. NeighborWorks Laredo, Inc. is a Full-Cycle Lender Certified Home Ownership Center.
Our vision is to empower individuals and families, and strengthen neighborhoods by using all available resources through NeighborWorks Laredo and its partnerships.
NeighborWorks Laredo's mission is to provide and develop affordable housing, financial education, lending opportunities; promote and preserve homeownership through counseling.
Operating as the Community Loan Center of Laredo, we are proud to provide this affordable, risk-free alternative to payday and car title loans. All earnings are reinvested into the program for expansion and lending capital.
NeighborWorks Laredo, operating as the Community Loan Center ("CLC") of Laredo, is licensed and examined under the laws of the State of Texas and by state law is subject to regulatory oversight by the Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner.
